Discovery Optics HD 2-12×24 is an ultra-compact riflescope (overall length only 215 mm) from the HD series, featuring high-definition lenses designed for demanding conditions. High-quality fully multi-coated optics provide a bright and clear image. Shooters benefit from a 2× to 12× magnification range, high-precision adjustment mechanisms, and an accurate first focal plane (FFP) illuminated reticle.
Features of the Discovery HD 2-12×24 SFIR FFP riflescope:
- One-piece 30 mm tube made of aircraft-grade aluminum, with a relatively light weight of 470 g. The shock-resistant design withstands recoil energy up to 11,000 J (calibers up to .50). The high-quality matte anodized finish protects the body from scratches and chips caused by drops or careless handling.
- Nitrogen-purged to prevent internal lens fogging, with high-quality sealing rings providing reliable protection against water and mist.
- Mil-Dot-based reticle remains sharp at any magnification. The convenient markings allow precise windage and elevation corrections, taking wind effects into account. The reticle is etched on the glass, unlike wire reticles, eliminating the risk of shifting under heavy recoil.
- Illuminated reticle with 6 brightness levels and convenient “off” positions between settings for quick on/off control. The central crosshair is illuminated.
- Parallax adjustment from 5 yards to infinity enables precise target focus at both close and long distances.
- Adjustment system features elevation and windage turrets with 1/10 MIL click value. Total adjustment range is 33.8 MIL for both elevation and windage. Turrets include Zero Lock and Zero Reset functions.
- FMC (Fully Multi-Green Coated) lens coating provides high light transmission (95%) along with additional benefits: hydrophobic properties to repel moisture, anti-reflective features to reduce glare and enhance concealment, and a hardened top layer to protect lenses from scratches caused by small abrasive particles.
