Biathlon champions are brought up from childhood. And if a child can go skiing at the age of 3, then training with sporting firearms is possible only from 18.
Thus, we lose decades, during which future champions could have practiced the shooting skills up to automatism. Is there an alternative?
Actually, yes, there is.
Young athletes at the age of 8 years start working with PCP rifles ZBROIA Biathlon, which are much similar to real biathlon firearms.
The air rifle ZBROIA Biathlon was developed jointly with the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine, specifically for the needs and specifics of the sport. In 2 years, ZBROIA has provided 80% of biathlon schools in Ukraine with air rifles. Hundreds of children are already fully training and competing getting prepared for the big sport.
The construction of ZBROIA Biathlon rifles is based on 22Lr caliber sport rifles used by professional athletes. Biathlon rifle from ZBROIA is available in two calibers – 4.5 and 5.5 mm.
The Length is 1010 mm, the weight is 3.5 kg, the stock is made of ash in two colors – black and natural wood.
The steel barrel is made by ZBROIA company, it is 550 mm long and has 12 notches. Thus delivers high accuracy of shooting. We emphasize that at a distance of 30 meters a group of 5 shots will fit in a circle with a diameter of 20 mm.
The rifle has a regulator that allows you to adjust the energy for the 4.5 mm caliber from 7.5 to 35 J, and in the 5.5 mm caliber from 7.5 to 40 J.
The air cylinder volume is 200 cc. If the regulator is set up at 7.5 J it allows to make up to 500 shots. For the 5.5 mm caliber rifle – about 400 shots. This covers one full-fledged training of the team on one cylinder filling.
The inlet port (die diameter is “6 mm”) opens with one turn of the cover. The manometer allows you to monitor the pressure level.
The service kit includes two refueling pieces for pumping. You may use a manual pump, a compressor, or a high-pressure cylinder with a gas station to pump your PCP Zbroia Biathlon rifle. The maximum inflation pressure of the cylinder is 300 Bar.
Diopter sight by ZBROIA
Dioptric sight is made by ZBROIA adjusts the aiming point for elevation and windage.
The rifle is equipped with three pillars with different hole diameters – (1.3 mm, 1.4 mm, 1.5 mm), and 5 interchangeable front sights (hole diameter 2.7 mm, 2, 9 mm, 3.1 mm, 3.3 mm, 3.5 mm) The sight is mounted on the dovetail.
The two-lever trigger mechanism is easily adjusted to the stiffness and length of the trigger by turning two screws inside the trigger guard. (on the diagram sign “Stroke of the trigger 1-4 ± 0.3 mm, force on the trigger 5 + 11 N (0.5+ 1.1)”).
The rifle has linear bolt action, similar to the Fortner shutter. In fact, it repeats the cocking mechanism of the Anschutz rifle and the young athlete will not notice any significant difference, switching from pneumatics to 22 Lr.
To cock the rifle, take the shutter back, put the mag in the port, push the sender to click. (show synchronous cocking on firearm and air rifle in one frame)
ZBROIA Biathlon air rifle opens the future of children’s biathlon!
The convenient holder for 5 pellets has an innovative locking system that securely holds the pellet in the store and increases the service life of silicone gaskets in the mag.
The mag loading is simple and does not take much time (we show how to load a pellet and insert the mag into the port). The rifle is equipped with 6 magazines for 5 pellets each, which are securely fixed in the holder on the stock with magnets.
The stock has a cheekpiece and a pad that are adjustable in length, height, and angle. This allows you to set a comfortable position for both children and adult shooters.
Adjustments should be done with a single 4 mm allen key. The rifle is equipped with a pair of shoulder stops to the pad.
The stock of the rifle has two tires for attaching the straps, which are also supplied with the rifle – a shoulder strap, a tension strap, and an additional forearm strap. The straps are adapted to the worst weather conditions, made of reliable American Cordura with stainless steel fittings.
