Riflescope Discovery Optics HD 3-12×44 SFIR (30 mm Tube, Illuminated Reticle)

Discovery Optics HD 3-12X44 SFIR is a compact riflescope (only 240 mm in length) from the HD series, featuring high-definition lenses designed for demanding conditions. Fully multi-coated low-dispersion glass delivers a bright, sharp image. The scope offers a 3x to 12x magnification range, high-precision adjustment mechanisms, and an illuminated Mil-Dot-based reticle in the first focal plane (FFP). The large 44 mm objective lens and 30 mm tube diameter provide excellent light transmission for use in low-light conditions.

Features of the Discovery HD 3-12×44 SFIR FFP

1. One-piece 30 mm tube: The aircraft-grade aluminum alloy construction is lightweight yet durable. The 44 mm objective and 30 mm main tube allow ample light transmission for low-light shooting.

2. Durable matte anodized finish: The high-quality matte anodized coating protects the scope from scratches and chips caused by drops or rough handling. The shock-resistant design withstands recoil energy up to 11,000 J (300 PRC, .338 Lapua Magnum, .408 CheyTac).

3. Nitrogen purged: The scope is filled with dry nitrogen to prevent internal fogging and condensation on the lenses. High-quality sealing rings provide water and fog resistance.

4. Mil-Dot-based FFP reticle: The reticle remains sharp and proportional at all magnification levels. The detailed markings enable precise windage and elevation corrections, taking bullet drift into account. The reticle is etched on the glass rather than made from wire, eliminating the risk of shift under heavy recoil.

5. Illuminated reticle: Six brightness levels with convenient off positions between settings allow quick activation and deactivation. The center crosshair is illuminated.

6. Side focus / parallax adjustment: Adjustable from 10 yards (9.1 m) to infinity for a clear target image at both close and long distances.

7. Precision turrets: Elevation and windage turrets feature 1/10 MIL click values with a total adjustment range of 24 MIL for both elevation and windage. The turrets include Zero Lock and Zero Reset functions.

8. FMC (Full Multi-Green Coated) lenses: The proprietary lens coating provides up to 95% light transmission while also offering water-repellent properties, anti-reflective performance for reduced glare and improved concealment, and a hardened outer layer that helps protect the lenses from scratches caused by fine abrasives.
